I'm not a professional writer, nor a professional traveller, so you might find it a bit rough. However, the trip was very good value and lots of fun, so I thought I would share it. 		CHINA-HK Vacation 95 ^Votes:0 1995 Vacation China / Hong Kong Travel Partner Mary -- Temple of Heaven -- Beijing Music from China On this trip I took 9 Airline trips on 5 different airlines Northwest, All Nippon Airway, Air China, China NW, and Dragon Air totaling 45 hours. I also took 3 train trips in china totaling 10 hours. Tuesday, May 30, 1995 Minneapolis-Los Angeles I left Minneapolis at 11:30 on a Northwest DC10, the flight was full. On arrival at LAX I took shuttle to Airport Hilton and checked in for 1 day. I meet Bruce my roommate for the first part of my trip. 		Travel - Yunnan ^Votes:0 Y UNNAN Kunming, Lijiang & Dali 5 - 11 Feb 1997 Minority tribe lady with her colorful headdress [ Click here to see more photos ] D ue to health problem and work commitment, I canceled the adventurous self-planned South Africa / Kenya and slotted myself into a nearly fully booked package tour to Yunnan. Yunnan is located at the southern part of China, sharing the same border with Thailand, Loa and Vietnam. As this province is ontop of a 1900m plateau, the climate is like spring all year round. The temperature during my visit was between 2 - 14 degree C. More than 28 minority tribes resided in Yunnan. They were easily distinguished by their colorful traditional costumes.
